Summary: CarcBot does not collect, store, or share any personal data. It contains no tracking, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. We collect no information about you or your device. CarcBot does not require an account, does not make network requests to our servers, and does not send any information to us or to third parties.
Photos
CarcBot asks only for permission to save images to your Photos library. When you export a generated map, a cube net, a rotation video, or a decorated scene, it is written to Photos using Apple’s standard add-only permission. CarcBot does not read from your Photos library — the app cannot see any images you already have there.
All map generation, tile matching, 3D rendering, and video export happens entirely on your device. No image ever leaves your device.
Tile bundles and saved maps
Tile bundles (.carcpack files) you import, tile bundles you build with the on-device editor, and maps you save in the Manual Map Editor are stored in CarcBot’s app container on your device. If you have iCloud Drive enabled, saved maps may sync to your other Apple devices through your own iCloud account — this is handled entirely by iOS; CarcBot has no servers involved. You can disable iCloud sync in iOS Settings if you prefer.
On-device storage
CarcBot uses iOS’s standard preferences storage (UserDefaults) to remember your settings such as grid size, selected tile sets, output resolution, and your last generated shape. Custom 3D meeple models you import are stored on your device. None of this leaves your device.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
CarcBot does not include any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. It does not measure your usage, does not identify you, and does not build any profile of your behaviour. The app makes no network requests except those required by iOS itself (such as iCloud Drive syncing, which is handled entirely by Apple’s frameworks).
Children
CarcBot is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data of any kind, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction).
Your rights
Because we collect no data, there is no personal data held by us that you could request access to, correct, or delete. If you wish to remove CarcBot’s on-device data, simply delete the app from your device; iOS will remove all of its stored preferences and files.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Because CarcBot collects no data, we do not expect substantive changes.
